Kapooka Army Base
Warren Smith Consulting Engineers led a design team in providing a new 1.0 ML/day wastewater treatment plant at the Kapooka Army Base in Wagga Wagga. The facilities included a new base sewage treatment plant for irrigation and toilet flushing reuse, 10km of effluent distribution pipeline and a 1.0ML effluent reservoir, telemetry and chlorination system.
Singleton Army Base
A major upgrade of the Singleton Army Base was undertaken to improve the capabilities of Defence to wash vehicles as well as providing more sustainable uses of water. The project consisted of designing an automatic enclosed truck washing bay and associated water treatment system in order to achieve a maximum level of water reuse. It is estimated that 50 vehicles utilise the facilities per day.
