Sydney Opera House

The Sydney Opera House is a Unesco Heritage listed building on Bennelong Point in Sydney. Our involvement here since 1999 has included significant upgrades to the Fire Sprinkler and Hydrant systems plus gas suppression and smoke detection and EWIS to suit a multitude of building construction projects. The building is undergoing continual upgrade and major maintenance works in compliance with its Unesco listing.

Art Gallery NSW

Art Gallery NSW is provided with a Fire Detection and Alarm System and Emergency Warning System, Fire Hydrants and Hose reels. Warren Smith Consulting Engineers have been involved in several refurbishment projects including the Asian Gallery Extension.

National Portrait Gallery, Canberra

The new National Portrait Gallery is the most significant building to be constructed in the Parliamentary Triangle for the last 20 years. The 14,000m2 building provides exhibition space for approximately 500 portraits in a simple configuration of day-lit galleries opened in December 2008.

The Fire Services response to the building includes Fire Hydrant and Hose Reels, Fire Sprinkler protection and smoke detection and alarm systems. Back of house Art Storage areas were provided aspirated smoke detection and pre-action fire sprinklers in response to client requirements.
